Right Marvell SATA controllers don't get good performance, be they the motherboard controller, or as a PCIe controller.

Also, I feel that benchmarking a drive isn't a true representative of the speed you will get from the drive. The benchmarks just prove how fast the SSD can go at maximum, akin to flooring the gas pedal on a Ferrari. Sure you will get 200+mph, but I don't know anyone who would drive that fast all the time.
Same with your SSD, you will not be using it at its maximum speeds all the time (if you are, please tell me what supercomputer you are using), but will be using it "throttled". You still get the benefits of a faster computer overall (not to mention reduced power consumption), because SSDs work more efficiently than a standard HDD.

Not reaching the advertised speeds doesn't indicate the drive is not working as it should be, as not every system is capable of getting 500+ MB/s transfer rate. As bogdan mentions, you should see a difference in "everyday use", due to other factors like 4K and 4K-QD4 transfer rates (which in benchmarks don't have a high MB/S transfer rate).

Everything I see on that error mentions that it is a Windows WMI error. Try the Windows WMI diagnostic tool from the Microsoft site below.

http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=7684

If that doesn't help or fix anything, you could try to right click on the program and select run as administrator when you try to install the program and also when you try to run the program.

perhaps you can try to burn the file from a different like the oneHERE (http://www.goplextor.com/asia/index.php/download?task=summary&cid=340&catid=162
). From what I can tell, its the same file, and I haven't seen any indication that the file on this server is bad or causes this problem for others, but its worth a shot if you are willing to try that. Still haven't heard anything official, I'll let you know if I do.

Its probably dependant on the program that you are using. Which one is it that you are getting that error message from? You can use the PlexUtilities software to change Booktypes on the drive.

No sure why it isn't on this site, and I don't see a changelog, so I'll see if I can get that firmware available through the Americas site downloads, but for now, you can use the link 123plexy provided.
