RMA Service

You must receive a RMA (Return Material Authorization) number from Plextor before any Plextor Product can be returned for replacement. Please contact Technical Support at 1.800.886.3935 or email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . This RMA number is valid for 30 days only. Plextor will refuse any product sent without a RMA number. Warranty period is 1 year for CD-R, CD-RW, and DVD R/RW drives. Warranty period is 2 years for CD-ROM drives. A copy of your invoice is required and needs to be included if drive manufacturing date shows the drive to be out of warranty.

Plextor Products must be sent postage prepaid. We recommend you insure your shipment, as Plextor cannot be held responsible for any damage that may occur during shipment. If you received your Plextor Product in a Plextor box, please use this same box to return the drive to Plextor. If you do not have a Plextor box, we recommend you pay a local packaging store (e.g. Mail Boxes Etc., UPS, Fed Ex) to package the drive for shipment.

Remember, we cannot assume liability for any damage your drive sustains as a result of shipment. Therefore, please ship your product in the safest manner possible.

Please use your RMA shipping instructions as a packing slip when shipping your drive. Reference the RMA # in black bold print on the outside of the box and on all paperwork. If you are returning multiple drives, please reference each RMA number. Note: shipments without the RMA number printed on the outside of the box will be refused and returned to the sender.

PLEASE NOTE: Any modification made to the original drive automatically invalidates the warranty provisions and the user will be charged for all costs associated with the return. If the reseller from whom you purchased made modifications, please contact that reseller for return/replacement information.
